Can't walk but want to make a contribution?

Maryellen Anne Miller
June 18, 1962  --  March 18, 2008

We dedicate this WALK with love
to  Maryellen Miller,
whose determination, courage and grace
inspire us and keep us walking toward a cure.

“Look to this day, for it is life, the very life of life.”

Dear Walk Friends,

We are so pleased to report back to you that The 6th Annual Walk Against Breast Cancer was a huge success again! Thanks to all of you--generous walkers, sponsors, and supporters-- the event raised over $54,000.  Every penny will go directly to patient care and research at Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, MA.  We know our friend and inspiration, Maryellen Miller, would be delighted that you have helped the Walk make this important gift possible. This year’s fundraising brings the total contribution for all six years to a heartwarming $275,000.
We had 456 walkers this year--216 youth and 240 adults--what a great show of support! We are delighted that the number of youth walkers increases every year and is now almost equal to the number of adults!  Way to go, youth!!
We know that some people were not able to consistently hear the speakers prior to the start of the Walk.  We apologize for any technical difficulties and would like to share our remembrance moments with all of you!  Please click here  for our 2008 Day of Event Opening Remembrance.
We can not thank you enough for your part in making Walk 2008 successful!
Hope you can join us again this year on Sunday, October 18, 2009!
 Our sincere appreciation,

The Walk Against Breast Cancer Committee

Kathy Chisholm, Katie Connors, Denise Cronin,
Jayne Jones, Maryann Marcoux, Dawn Waddell
