The Walk Against Breast Cancer in Holliston has been making a difference since 2003, when our friend Maryellen Miller joined with friends in the community to create an event that would “give back” to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, where she was treated. Maryellen was passionate about all of the proceeds going directly to DFCI, specifically earmarked for breast cancer research and patient care.

The Walk in Holliston is a home-grown event that makes a big impact – we are proud to donate 100% of all walker donations to DFCI by covering our costs with sponsorship money. To date, our annual event has raised over $400,000 for cancer research and treatment! Our last Walk drew 367 walkers from communities near and far, many of them students and children... and we begin and end our 5 mile walk honoring those who have walked before us, and look forward to the day when cancer is history.

We hope to see you on October 14th, 2012!
